VP Shintre & Associates, Advocates, conducts online Study Circle sessions every Saturday at 11 AM. The Objective of these sessions is to increase awareness on various legal topics. The sessions shall be of benefit to lawyers and students of law.
Adv. V.P. Shintre, alongwith Adv. M.P. Bendre, started Study Circle sessions for the Pune based legal community around 1985. These sessions were conducted in the Men’s Bar Room of the Pune Bar Association. Subsequently, the baton was effectively carried forward by Adv. Vaishali Bhagwat and Adv. Pramod Bendre.
As part of the evolution of this initiative, we plan to conduct these Study Circle sessions online.
We look forward to participation and engagement in these sessions by the legal fraternity.

Speaker: Kunal Gokhale is an advocate practicing at Pune. He is an alumnus of National Law University Jodhpur. He specializes in income tax and corporate commercial matters and has around 11 years of post-qualification experience. He is engaged in litigation as well as advisory work. He has been associated with firms such as L&L Partners, Ernst & Young LLP, Vaish Associates Advocates in the past. He has also judged moot court competitions and given lectures.

Speaker: Mihir Naniwadekar practises as counsel at the Chambers of Mihir Naniwadekar at Mumbai. He specialises in tax litigation and commercial arbitration. Mihir has been appearing as counsel in various arbitrations, domestic as well as international and has also been appointed as arbitrator. He has appeared as lead counsel in several reported tax judgments of the Bombay High Court and has also been appointed amicus curiae by the high court in certain matters

Speaker: Akanksha Apte is a qualified lawyer based out of Pune/Mumbai and specialises in Technology, Media and Telecommunication laws. She is an alumnus of of ILS College, Pune and qualified in 2019. She immediately embarked upon the journey of pursuing her LLM from Queen Mary University of London. She currently works as an Associate Consultant in the Data Privacy team at Ernst & Young LLP, Mumbai. She champions for data privacy vs data security and digital rights.

Topic: Law on Privacy Part II – Fundamental Right to Privacy and the Aadhar decision

Speaker: Adv. Udayaditya Banerjee is an Advocate practising at Delhi and regularly appears in matters before the Supreme Court. Since 2014, he has been involved in Aadhar related litigations, in which the ‘Right to Privacy’ decision’ as well as the ‘Aadhar’ decision were passed by the Supreme Court.

Speaker: Adv. Nikhil Baji is based in Pune. He is alumnus of Gujarat National Law University. He deal with Civil matters and specialises in area of Debt recovery. He has appeared before the DRT and also Civil Court in Pune. He was working in the chambers of Ronak Shah & Co. In the past, he has also worked in the Chambers of Adv. Seema Surnaik, Senior Adv Bombay High Court. He has recently cleared Maharashtra Judicial Examination and is now on his way to embark on the journey from Bar to the bench.

He brings in 12 plus years of practice and industry experience, advising on business set-up in India, core Company Law matters, Foreign Exchange Management Laws, SEBI Regulations etc. He has also authored books on a variety of topics. He also conducts internal training programs and workshops on topics relating to Corporate Laws and Corporate Governance.

Speaker 1– Professor Nilima Bhadbhade is a lawyer, consultant, trainer and author. She was an Associate Professor at ILS Law College until 2016. She has also authored many books on Contract Law and also edited a few editions of Pollock and Mulla’s Indian Contract and Specific Relief Act. She has designed and conducted workshops and also delivered various lectures on numerous topics including contract law. Speaker – 2 Vaishali Bhagwat, Advocate is amongst the first technology lawyers in the country. She is a practicing Civil and Cyber lawyer and her work includes litigation support, litigation and non-litigation and advisory practice which includes documentation of policies and contracts, vetting and review of contracts.
